Peace Corps Mourns the Loss of Anne Borrel, Peace Corps/Eswatini

It is with great sadness that I inform you of the recent passing of Anne Louise Borrel, Peace Corps/Eswatini Peace Corps Medical Officer. Anne was born in Scotland, and grew up in Eswatini. She attended school in South Africa where she went to Blairgowrie Primary School and then to Lowveld High school in Nelspruit. She later attended the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa, where she completed her BSC in General Nursing.

Before joining the Peace Corps/Eswatini team, she worked for many years in Mbabane Clinic in the various Nursing and Administration departments. She joined Peace Corps/ Eswatini in 2012 as the Peace Corps Medical Officer (PCMO). For over eight years, Anne held her PCMO position diligently, overseeing day to day Volunteer health issues. Anne’s hobbies included yoga, meditation, and running and she was very dedicated to healthy eating and healthy living.

Please join me in conveying our deepest sympathy to her loved ones and to the entire Peace Corps/Eswatini team, as they support each another during this difficult time.
